This collection is important to trace Sefardic genealogies that stretch back to the year 900 in the city of Leon, Spain in the ancient Kingdom of Leon which would also have included Zamora and Salamanca. It is an invaluable tool to trace Jewish lineages with the original last names before they began to change in the times before the Expulsion.

La colección es importante para rastrear las genealogías sefardíes que se remontan al año 900 en la ciudad de Leon del Antiguo Reino de León ya que también hubiese incluido Zamora y Salamanca. Es una herramienta de mucho valor para rastrear linajes judíos con los apellidos originales antes de que comenzaran a cambiar en los tiempos justo antes de la Expulsión.
