Visualizing a colorful heritage through short videos
with teachers’ guides
A series of 3-5 minute clips designed to augment classroom lessons and explore Jewish diversity through glimpses into the greater Jewish experience. Each clip expands a standard curricular item, from Jewish holidays and Jewish philosophy to Tanakh and Talmud, by presenting the Jewish history, attitude, and approach of the Greater Sephardi world. Each clip, created in consultation with a scholar on the particular subject, comes with background for the teacher and suggested uses and conversation-starters in the classroom. A full playlist of these clips is available on our YouTube channel.
Workshops for teachers are available.
Some teacher resources are developed from a project initiated through the generous funding of the Maurice Amado Foundation and the work of Professor Jane S. Gerber and Professor Reeva Spector Simon.
